Green finance expands role in Saudi Arabia’s sustainability drive
Saudi Arabia is increasing the use of green finance to support renewable energy, cleaner transport and other sustainability projects under Vision 2030. Banks, investors and government-linked institutions are directing billions of dollars toward projects designed to reduce emissions and diversify the economy away from oil dependence. Green bonds, sukuk and sustainability-linked financing are becoming a larger part of the funding mix. The expansion is intended to help meet environmental targets while creating new investment opportunities across the Kingdom.
