District collectors declared a holiday for educational institutions, including professional colleges, anganwadis, religious schools and tuition centres, in nine Kerala districts because of heavy rain. Residential schools were excluded but told to ensure student safety. SET, higher-secondary equivalency and several university or recruitment examinations were postponed, while the PSC offered a fresh date for eligible candidates who missed an earlier test. Revised schedules will be announced by the relevant bodies.
