Ahmet Davutoglu helped design the foreign policy and political strategy that strengthened Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s rule in Türkiye. As foreign minister and later prime minister, he promoted regional influence and a ‘zero problems’ approach before falling out with Erdogan and leaving the governing party.
