
India Approves Qdenga as Country’s First Dengue Vaccine
India’s drug regulator has granted marketing authorisation to Qdenga, making it the country’s first approved vaccine for dengue prevention. Manufactured by Germany-based Takeda GmbH, the vaccine will be imported by Takeda Biopharmaceuticals India. It is approved for people aged four to 60 and is administered in two doses three months apart. Qdenga has already been approved in 42 countries and has WHO prequalification.
