India has begun its Commonwealth Games campaign with expectations of strong performances in weightlifting, boxing, athletics and para sports. The 123-member contingent aims to overcome the absence of several traditional medal-winning disciplines while maintaining a competitive position in the overall standings during the Glasgow event. Indian athletes will compete across eight able-bodied and five para sports.
