Probe Begins into V.S. Achuthanandan Memorial Event Inside Prison

Authorities began an investigation after CPI(M) workers held on remand in a case involving an alleged attack on Enforcement Directorate officials organised a memorial event for V.S. Achuthanandan inside Thiruvananthapuram Central Prison. Officials are examining how the programme was arranged and whether permission was obtained. The investigation will also determine whether holding the event inside the prison constituted a serious violation of applicable prison regulations and security procedures.
