Israel card spending hits July record of NIS 54.857 billion
Israeli consumers spent a record NIS 54.857 billion using payment cards in July 2026, according to data from national payment-system operator Shva. The total was 5.8% higher than July 2025 and almost NIS 3 billion above the figure recorded a year earlier. Average daily card spending reached NIS 1.771 billion. Shva also reported that cash withdrawals from bank ATMs climbed to a record NIS 6.057 billion. The figures reflect a sharp increase in household spending during the summer-vacation month.
