Jordan Intercepts Iranian Missiles as US and Saudi Arabia Strike Iraq
Jordan said its air defences intercepted five missiles launched from Iran as the United States and Saudi Arabia carried out strikes on Iran-backed militias in Iraq. Iraqi militia authorities reported at least 20 deaths and dozens of injuries. The operations followed drone attacks targeting Saudi oil facilities, while Iran made additional claims about regional targets that could not all be independently verified. The escalation renewed fears of a wider conflict.
