Night traffic on the Kalady Sree Sankara Bridge will be restricted from August 8 as authorities carry out urgent repair and maintenance work. Officials have been directed to use dry spells during the monsoon to speed up tarring, tiling and structural maintenance on the existing bridge and its approach roads. The work is intended to address safety and surface issues while limiting disruption to daytime traffic. Motorists travelling at night should follow announced diversions and local traffic instructions.
