Kerala Health Department Issues Dengue Alert
The Kerala Health Department urged the public to intensify mosquito-source reduction measures following reports of dengue cases. Common symptoms include fever, headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pain and skin rashes. Persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, bleeding, breathing difficulties and a sudden drop in blood pressure may indicate severe illness. People were advised to avoid self-medication, seek medical care promptly and remove mosquito-breeding sources.
