Kerala’s state-run Onam markets will begin operating on August 8, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob said. Onam kits containing 16 items will be distributed to yellow ration-card holders from August 10. Onam trade fairs are scheduled to begin earlier, on August 6, as part of the state’s festival-season supply arrangements.
