Kerala Seeks Release of ₹1,500 Crore in Education Funds

Kerala asked the Union government to release ₹1,500 crore due to the state under the Samagra Shiksha Kerala programme. State Education Minister N. Shamsudheen raised the demand at a meeting of education ministers and said the funding should not be linked to Kerala joining the PM SHRI scheme. The state maintained that the allocation should be released without additional conditions.
