Kerala to Press Centre for Release of Withheld Education Funds

Kerala will ask the Union government to release funds withheld under the Samagra Shiksha Kerala programme during a meeting of state education ministers convened by the Union Education Minister. The state is expected to raise the withheld allocation as a key issue at the meeting. The Centre’s earlier position linking release of the funds to Kerala’s participation in the PM SHRI scheme is also expected to be discussed during the talks between the state and Union authorities.
