Kuwait has set a KD150 fee for converting an eligible visit visa into a regular residence permit under Article 16. Decision No. 1091 of 2026 amends the relevant provisions of the 2025 fee schedule and takes effect immediately. Arab Times reported that domestic workers covered by Article 20 are exempt from the charge. The measure concerns permitted conversions only and does not make every visit visa automatically eligible for residency.
