India’s mobile-phone exports have risen about 165 times in a decade, from roughly ₹1,500 crore in 2014-15 to ₹2.59 lakh crore in 2025-26, according to government figures. Domestic phone production also expanded sharply, while total electronics output and exports reached new highs. Officials credit manufacturing incentives, supply-chain investment and semiconductor programmes for the growth, though the industry still depends on imported components and faces strong competition from other Asian production hubs.
