Delhi’s long-delayed Barapullah elevated corridor is expected to reduce travel time between Mayur Vihar and AIIMS to about 20 minutes once opened. The project is designed to create a faster east–south connection and ease pressure on heavily congested roads. Work has faced repeated delays over land, environmental and construction issues. Authorities are completing final sections and safety checks before allowing public traffic.
