Opposition Leaders Detained During March Near Prime Minister’s Residence

Opposition leaders marched towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in New Delhi, demanding action over alleged irregularities in NEET and other examinations and condemning police action against protesting students. Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Akhilesh Yadav were among those leading the protest. Police removed the leaders from the area and detained them. Congress alleged that Rahul Gandhi suffered a facial injury and that Priyanka Gandhi’s clothing was torn during the police action.
