Irish musician and songwriter Glen Hansard has died aged 56 following a motorcycle crash in Dublin, according to reports citing local authorities. Hansard led the band The Frames and gained international recognition through the film and stage musical Once. He and Markéta Irglová won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for Falling Slowly, and later performed together as The Swell Season.
