A group led by Plus Two students Afsal and Nizam found a bag containing 15 sovereigns of gold among mud and debris at the Payyanithottam landslide site in Poonjar, Madhyamam reported. The ornaments included four necklaces, two bangles, a nose stud and a thali. The students handed the bag to the panchayat president. Local authorities said it would be kept through the parish priest while efforts were made to identify the rightful owners.
