Teenager Arrested Over Alleged ₹64-Crore Fraud Using AI Fake Apps

Surat Police arrested an 18-year-old accused of using artificial intelligence to create fraudulent mobile applications and allegedly cheating people across India of more than ₹64 crore. Rohit Virendrasingh Shakya was arrested at a hotel in Uttar Pradesh. Police said he had left school, taught himself coding and used those skills to develop the applications. Investigators are examining the alleged fraud network, the operation of the apps and the number of people affected by the scheme.
