Thrissur city police detained Akhil, the brother of fugitive Arjun Ayanki, while intensifying searches across the city. Ayanki is wanted after allegedly threatening the Kothamangalam Circle Inspector. Police traced his mobile location to the Naikkanal area and searched Naikkanal Junction and Thekkinkadu Maidan. Investigators say he changed vehicles while travelling from Palakkad to Thrissur and again evaded them. A car believed to have been used by him has been located.
